You are a meta-human that is thrust into a hostile Stardust-polluted world in Once Human Monsters Human . As a survivor in this horror MMORPG, your journey will have you completing tasks, quests, commissions, and clearing various dungeons in order to uncover the many secrets of the world.

In order to become sturdier against the dangerous mobs and treacherous environments, you will need to gain access to different technologies and special abilities. These come in the form of Memetics and Cradle Override features. Unlocking the various Memetic branches will allow you to create new things and equipping Cradle Override features will enhance your abilities.

Memetics And Cradle Explained

The Memetics Cradle screen can be accessed by hitting 'O' on your keyboard.

On the left side of the main menu, you can see how many Ciphers you have available to use for unlocking Memetics .

The right side of the Memetics Cradle main menu will show you how many slots in your Cradle are available and how many features you've already equipped.

The Memetics Menu Explained

Click on 'Memetics' to open up the entire Memetics menu. Here, you'll see the various branches of technologies that you can unlock .

Infrastructure

This branch is where you can unlock the ability to make better tools and to detect resources better . You can also unlock items that will improve your resource collection abilities.

Crafting

This branch contains various crafting recipes for combat items . This includes weaponry, armour, and healing items.

Logistics

This branch contains technologies for essential utilities needed on your base . You'll find cooking, water collection, farming, electricity, and Deviant storage technologies here.

Building

|

This branch is for overall territory improvement . You can unlock technologies for base support, storage, defense, and vehicles here.

The upper-left corner of your screen is where you'll find the link to the Memetic Specialization menu . These specializations grant unique buffs that improve your performance in the four different Memetics branches.

You can unlock a new Memetic Specialization for every five levels you gain . In total, you'll be able to unlock up to ten Memetic Specialization buffs .

The Cradle Menu Explained

When you open the Cradle menu, you'll see a list of available Cradle Override features on the left. On the right, you'll see the nodes where you'll be inserting those features.

Hovering over each node will reveal how to unlock them. Some will require clearing a dungeon , while others will require you to defeat a boss . Once it's unlocked, the node will be empty.

The Cradle Override features are unlocked in two ways. You can either reach a certain character level or you can wait for the next seasonal phase to begin .

How To Unlock And Use Memetics

You can't unlock everything under the different Memetics branches right away. You will need to start from the top of each branch , and make your way down in order to unlock the more complex and powerful Memetics.

You'll see which Memetics are linked to each other by following the connections under each branch . You can view the details of the latter Memetics to see what you should prioritize early on.

Unlocking new Memetics will require a certain amount of Ciphers or Meme Points and Energy Links .

How To Earn Meme Points

Meme Points can be earned by leveling your character up , completing Season Goals , and by acquiring new Deviations .

To view the current list of Season Goals hit 'Esc' then click on the server banner in the upper right corner of the menu. The second tab you'll see on top is 'Season Goals' .

Heading to this tab will show you the different scenarios available for the season. You can see how many total Meme Points you can obtain per scenario by clicking on the gift boxes .

In the same menu, you'll find the different Deviations available for the season under the 'Season Info' tab . They are listed under 'Features' , and you can see what abilities each can grant.

How To Obtain Energy Links

Energy Links can be earned when you clear dungeons, complete tasks, and do quests .

Hitting 'J' on your keyboard will open up your 'Journey' menu. You'll see all the beginner tasks you can perform, and each will reward you with Energy Links.

The 'Tasks' tab can also be found at the top of this menu. Heading there will reveal all your available missions . Clicking on each will reveal how much Energy Links will be rewarded to you upon completion of the task.

You can also hit 'M' to open your map and view all the available dungeons and areas to explore in the region. Hovering over each will reveal the Energy Links that you can receive as a reward for clearing the area .

How To Use The Cradle

A set of four Cradle Override features will unlock for every ten levels you gain or when the next seasonal phase starts.

You can see what features are available, even if you haven't unlocked them yet. Simply hover over the icons of any feature you'd like to check out to see the complete details of the buff it grants.

You can equip a feature as long as you have a slot available on your Cradle . You can press 'F' to equip it and you can also drag it to a node slot on your Cradle.

You can level up easily by completing tasks, commissions, and defeating enemies . Keep exploring new areas so that you can unlock more tasks to do and gain EXP quickly as a reward .

The easiest way to unlock new nodes on your Cradle is to simply progress through the main storyline . Open your 'Tasks' menu, then check out the 'Follow The Stardust' tab. You'll find the quests pertaining to the main story listed there.
