The first member, odd carbon monoxide CO, seems to be the just one that's virtually stable within the pure state at room temperature (although it's not thermodynamically stable at normal temperature and stress, see Boudouard response). Many other oxides are identified right now, most of them synthesized for the reason that 1960s. A few of these new oxides are stable at room temperature. C4O6, dioxane tetraketone or akkutrager dimeric oxalic anhydride (Strazzolini and others, 1998); stable in Et2O at −30 °C, decomposes at 0 °C.
