Testing is a bit challenging because there are two pins for the connector and they perform different functions but the best method to test it is by measuring resistance between the sensor and the ECU. It should read about 1000 ohms if the sensor is operating at its maximum. If you're having issues with this sensor, look for signs of oil or coolant in the connector bay.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, while accelerating from the highway paytoll at a high speed, i noticed a huge reduction in power. It was like the engine had run out of gas. Or my injectors weren't firing. Today, i pulled out the spark plugs, three were soaked with gazoline and the fourth was dry. When I crank the engine without sparks, i place a tissue on the top of each of the injector holes, the 3 drenched with gazoline leap out, however the 4th stay closed. I checked the ground connection of ECU pins 14,30 and 48/55. I found 0ohm. So i assume the problem is elsewhere.
I also tried to reset the PID without success. The car will start when the G28 is disconnected, but it runs fine with the G28 plugged in. However, the intermittent misfire problem continues to occur at higher RPM. The coolant temperature sensor (G62) shows the wrong temp value that is -49c even after unplugging it. Also i noticed that the gauge for oil pressure in the cockpit shows 2 bar when the actual pressure is 0.0 when I crank up the engine.
I'm not sure what to do. I believe that I've eliminated everything else. However, i'm afraid that I might have missed something. If anyone has any ideas please let me know! TIA!
