1. Engine Speed Sensor

The most effective method to test it is by measuring the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. It should read about 1000 ohms when the sensor is at full operation. Examine for signs of coolant or oil in the connector bay if you have problems with this part.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, while accelerating at full speed from the highway paytoll, I experienced an abrupt drop in power like the engine is running out of gas or the injectors aren't firing at all. In the morning, i removed the spark plugs. Three were drenched with gazoline the fourth was dry. I put tissue over each hole in the injector and when i turn the engine on without sparks, the ones with gazoline jump right out. The 4th one stays closed. I checked the ground connection of ECU pins 14,30 and 48/55. I found zero ohm. I'm assuming the issue is elsewhere.
I also tried to reset PID without success. The car is able to start if the G28 is disconnected and is running fine when it is plugged in however it has the intermittent misfire issue at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62) even if it is not plugged in, shows temperatures of -49c. I also noticed that the gauge for oil pressure in the cockpit shows 2 bar when the actual pressure is 0.0 if i crank up the engine.
I don't know what to do. I believe that I've eliminated everything else. I'm worried that i might have missed something. If anyone has any suggestions, please chime in! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump in the g28 gets a signal from the RPM sensor. The GM-style transmitter functions similarly to the G4 sender and works on the 80,100,200, UrS, and RS2 vehicles. It is easy to find a spare in a wrecking shop or a parts store. It is easy to test them - simply switch your DMM into resistance mode and determine the distance between pins 1 and 2 (with the bump on the connector's edge facing up). They must be infinite Ohms.
4. ECU
Our 20vt turbo (3B AAN, ABY, and ADU) engines have an ECU that needs to be aware of the speed and position of the crankshaft to make decisions about timing of the fuel injector, for example. It uses a Crank Position Sensor G4 and an Engine Speed Sensor G28 to accomplish this. If either of these goes bad you will get codes on the diagnostic scanner which can lead to engine shutdown.
The signs of a failing G28 sensor include an inaccurate rev counter in the gearbox the gears are shifting faster than normal, and/or a misfire when you are in gear. If you are experiencing any of these issues it is likely your sensor is deteriorating and needs replacing. They are cheap and easy-to-find especially if they're a Bosch unit like ours. Alternatively, the GM version of this unit is also a great option.
5. Tachometer
A damaged engine sensor could cause a myriad of issues in your vehicle.
