She is reminiscent of the redesign of Opila Bird in developer Unique Geese's fanmade Garten of Banban remake Reincarnated, and her beta model was used in the game's debut teaser trailer.

Mollie is a mascot featured in Indigo Park's first teaser trailer. Mollie can be seen smiling and peering over the player, with her glowing eyes. In the trailer, she's also called "the most experienced pilot you'll ever meet" and "the most experienced pilot who has a crash every time." This has led some where to buy macaw speculate that Mollie is gay, which developer UniqueGeese denied on a stream. The aviator bird swarms around the player at a variety of places in the trailer. This is most noticeable when she is in Jetstream Junction, which includes a spinning plane that is known as Rooftop races and Mollie’s Landing Pad.
