Evolution Korea

South Korea's democratic system is susceptible to populist impulses. However, it is more stable than one would expect.

The country is in search of an alternative development model. The Confucian culture, which stresses respect for ancestors and as and gender-specific family relationships, continues to influence the society. However, there are signs that a secular culture is beginning to emerge.

Origins

As Korea is entering a post-crisis period its development model appears to be in flux. The people who are affronted by the immense cost of the old system would prefer an extensive program of liberalization of capital as well as labor and product markets. A KACR success was witnessed at KAIST University in Seoul. There, students were so interested in the idea of creationism that they raised the funds and support to construct a small museum on campus featuring creationist fossil models and other exhibits.

In addition to its activities, KACR has published a bimonthly magazine called CREATION. The magazine covers a variety of topics in the creation science. It also sponsored a series lectures by ICR staff. It also has local branches that conduct seminars and give talks to school children and other community groups.

Evolution in South Korea

In the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century, Korea began to adopt an increasingly Westernized lifestyle. His rule was however short-lived.
