It can be a bit difficult to test since there are different pins on the connector and each one has different functions. The best way to do it is to measure the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. When the sensor is functional, it should read approximately 1000 ohms. 2. Injectors
Yesterday, as i was accelerating off the highway paytoll at a high speed I noticed a massive drop in power. It was like the engine was running out of gas. Or, my injectors were not firing. Today, i pulled out the spark plugs, three were soaked with gazoline and the 4th one was dry. I also tried to reset PID without success. The car will start when the G28 is disconnected, but it is running fine with the G28 plugged in. However, the intermittent misfire problem continues to occur at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62), even if it is not plugged in, shows temperatures of -49c. Also i noticed that the oil pressure gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bar while the actual pressure is 0.0 if i crank up the engine.
I'm not sure what to do, but i think i've pretty much completely ruled out all other possibilities. But i'm worried that i might have missed something. If anyone has suggestions, please let me know! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump in the g28 receives a signal from the RPM sensor. The GM-style transmitter is the same as the G4 and both are used in the 80, 100, 200, UrS and RS2 cars so you can easily find one at a wrecking yard or from a parts store.
